The client observed that frequent delays in order delivery status updates led to higher Days-Sales-Outstanding and Days-to-Bill metrics. After completing deliveries, the sales and carrier representatives often took a long time to update the order status to Ready-to-Bill (RTB) and Ready-to-Pay (RTP), respectively. This had a direct impact on the overall cash flow of the client.
Solution
AssistEdge streamlined the order management process, significantly improving the overall cash flow. Every day, the RPA bot finds ‘delivered’ orders and sends out notifications alerting representatives on orders that are candidates for RTB/RTP along with transition-day details. The bot then moves all orders to RTB/RTP status, except the ones placed on hold, as per the configured business rules and carrier payment terms.
