Mr. David Mwesige, Head of Information Technology, Post Bank Uganda, talks about the technology priorities for banks in Africa. He talks about how the threats to cyber security has increased significantly with technology reaching the masses and how banks are now made to focus more on compliance and security measures. David also talks about how the bank is leveraging modern technology to deliver a Truly Digital experience to customers.

Post Bank of Uganda is 100% owned by the Government of Uganda. Post Bank currently has 37 branches supported by 9 mobile banking vans with an operational presence in over 50 districts. The bank’s branch network is also supplemented by point of sale machines and a number of authorized cash points across the country. Post Bank of Uganda serves over 600,000 customers with a deposit base and loan portfolio of over 200 billion and 170 Billion respectively.
