Release Upgrade
The upgrade to AssistEdge RPA 20.0/Engage 3.0 version can be done in few quick and easy steps. All the existing data will be available in the latest version.

Patches upto 17.6 Patch #79, 18.2 Patch #63, #66, #67, #68, 18.1 Patch #56, 18.0 SP1 Patch #92 and 19.0 SP2 are already merged in RPA 19.1/Engage 2.1. Hence no need to install the patches again. |
This section provides an overview of the steps involved in upgrading to AE RPA 20.0/Engage 3.0 for both Windows and Linux based systems.
Prerequisites for RPA 20.0/Engage 3.0 Upgrade
Below is the list of prerequisites required for the RPA 20.0/Engage 3.0 upgrade.
- RPA 20.x/Engage 3.x version must already be deployed.
- Download the upgrade product package from confluence.
- For Windows: AssitEdgeAutomation.zip
- For Linux: AssistEdgeAutomation.tar.gz
- The upgrade build package contains the following files:
- app
- client-tools
- data
- migration
- patch-upload
- runtime
- scripts
- client.updat
- poststeps
- presteps
- server.update
- All the server-side and client-side components such as Proctor, Automation studio, EPA, Engage, Robot Agent, Robot SE must be in STOP state.
- User applying the patch must have admin rights on the sever machine.
- 7-zip or similar file achiever which supports extraction of long file paths. It is applicable only for Windows.
Upgrading AE RPA 19.1/ Engage 2.1 includes the following sections and must be followed in the sequence it is listed below.
